As the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues around the world, we would like to share guidance and the steps CPM is taking to protect people.
Personal Health and Safety
CPM is taking intentional, creative approaches to keep people safe. The company has increased hygiene and is employing a wide range of tactics to keep people healthy. We continue to follow guidelines and recommendations from Governmental Agencies, the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities.
Mitigation Measures at Project Sites
The health and safety of all CPM employees, trade partners and workers continues to be our top priority. CPM is taking steps to keep everyone healthy and reduce the risk of contracting or spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19). All CPM projects provide access to hand washing stations and we clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. We have eliminated large group meetings. Gatherings take place in spaces that allow for social distancing between meeting attendees. We have implemented strategies for staggering, including reducing density and duration of workers in confined spaces at any given time.
CPM supports all employees in focusing on what they need to do to take care of themselves and their loved ones. As many employees as possible, especially those with high risks, are currently working from home.
CPM has a complete restriction on all business travel to CDC Level 3 countries. If a visitor has traveled to or has been in close contact with a traveler to these countries, he/she is not permitted access to a CPM jobsite or our main office for 14 days from the date of contact. If visitors have been in close contact with an individual who has a confirmed positive test result for COVID-19, he/she is not permitted access to a CPM jobsite or our main office for 14 days from the date of contact. If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, seek medical care early and stay away from others. You are not permitted access to any CPM facility.
Meetings and Travel
CPM is limiting in-person meetings, practicing social distancing, and utilizing remote conferencing technology tools. In person business meetings, conferences and events are suspended. We are utilizing remote conferencing technology tools to keep our people and our partners connected. CPM has expanded it’s network capacity and has made remote working tools and training available.
COVID-19 Action Team
CPM has an action team in place devoted to establishing the behaviors in which we protect and support people, share information, reduce the potential for the spread of the virus, and support the continuity of our operations. Our team has developed and will continue to refine protocols for responding to this dynamic situation.
CPM is monitoring supply chains for actual delays that may affect our ability to maintain the schedule for our work.
Advice for Reducing the Chance of Spreading Infection
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Clean your hands often by washing them with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water is not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. It is especially important to clean hands after using the restroom; before eating; and after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose. Frequently clean commonly used surfaces with alcohol based disinfectants.
As this is a dynamic situation, our guidance is likely to be modified. We encourage you to access the most up-to-date information from respected organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.
