Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is a family-owned, Texas-based fast-casual restaurant chain founded in 1941 in Dallas, built on a tradition of authentic, slow-smoked barbecue and Southern hospitality. Known for its signature brisket, ribs, and classic sides, the brand differentiates itself by smoking meats on-site using hickory wood pits and maintaining recipes that date back to its original location. Over the decades, Dickey’s has grown into one of the largest barbecue franchise concepts in the United States, with hundreds of locations nationwide and internationally, while still being operated by the founding family and focused on delivering consistent, “Legit.
